Our story
Nursi Luna was born between midnight and morning
We are named for the moon because that is when we were made — in the hours of night feeds, when the only light in the house is the lamp beside the nursing chair.
The lamp goes low
Most of our story starts here: the house asleep, a baby who is not, and a pump that came with one shield size.
The session that hurts
Rubbing, a swollen ring, half an ounce after twenty minutes. Nobody had mentioned that the tunnel might simply be too wide.
The ruler
A borrowed nipple ruler, a quick measurement, and the realisation that 24mm was five millimetres too big. That night became Nursi Luna.
The first light
Soft silicone inserts in five sizes, a ruler in every box, and later a guide shaped with an IBCLC — so the next mother finds her size before the sun comes up.
What we are for
Pumping gear is usually designed around the machine. We design around the mother holding it: tired hands, a baby on one arm, instructions read in half-light. That is why our kits are soft silicone, why every one has a ruler, and why the guide fits on a single folded page.
We began with flange size because it caused the most quiet pain. The rest of the nook — a wearable pump, spare parts, colostrum collectors, washer tablets — grew from the same question: what would make 3 a.m. a little gentler?
